The approach of the 'achroma series' ('achromatic', from ancient greek 'ἀχρώματος': without colour) is, to focus on the formal thinking of the creative process by showing all of the painters decisions, movement and direction - but without any color or black&white contrast. All the paintings are therefore completely desaturated and without any contrast, resulting in a middle gray (50% gray, also known in photography as 18% reflectance - the tone of the photographers gray card).
Without colour and contrast this paintings are also "social inclusive" - they include the blind and visually impaired because they bring the painters creative process to live solely through the structure of the brush on the canvas, witch is tactile tangible as well.
